The new Leica Calonox 2 Sight thermal imaging camera is not just a further development, it is a true benchmark in terms of design and functionality. Manufactured in the state-of-the-art Leica factory in Portugal, it impresses with its compact ergonomics and practical, intuitive operation: for example, it is very easy to select day or night mode. The high-quality European sensor from LYNRED, together with the proven Leica image processing software (Leica Image Optimization – LIO™), ensures even sharper, more contrast-rich and more detailed images. Manufactured in the state-of-the-art Leica factory in Portugal, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight focuses on safe and ethical hunting with its compact ergonomic shape, practical and intuitive control buttons, and outstanding optical performance.
Wide field of view and very detailed image.
Hunters and nature observers can rely on natural, sharp and high-contrast images, thanks to the high-quality LYNRED sensor and the processing software (LIO™ – Leica Image Optimization), further refined by Leica. Within a wide field of view, objects with a standard size of 1.8 meters can be clearly seen up to 2,210 meters. Recognition is possible at 770 meters, while identification is reliable at 390 meters.
Easy interchange between multiple different rifles.
Thanks to extremely high-precision components and a sophisticated manufacturing process, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight arrives already precisely centered. As a result, the clip-on thermal imaging camera no longer requires individual calibration, but can be used as is and even exchanged between rifles. The point of impact does not change, even when repeatedly removing and remounting the device. In the interest of ethical hunting, a control shot is recommended.

A lightweight, compact package with the right scope.
The Calonox 2 Sight can be used with most commercially available riflescopes. Combined with the Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i, the perfect combination is achieved: a compact all-in-one system for night hunting. Mounting is done using standard adapters, which are available for almost all riflescopes.
Optional remote control to activate the photo and video function.
An optional remote control can be conveniently attached to the comb or shaft to activate the photo/video function. This eliminates the need to change positions and provides continuity of aiming throughout the instrument.
The software shutter is smooth and silent.
Conventional thermal imaging cameras periodically recalibrate with an audible “click” and a frozen frame. Leica Calonox 2 thermal imaging cameras are designed to be “shutter-free.” Leica software allows for silent and instant recalibration, without freezing the image.
Easy switching between day and night modes.
Like all Leica products, the Leica Calonox 2 Sight is intuitive to use. A large, robust metal control ring turns the device on and makes it easy to switch between day and night modes. A magnetic hold switch keeps the device on during switching, saving time.
Please note the following information regarding the point of impact and the liability of Leica Camera AG (“LEICA”)
The Calonox 2 Sight/Calonox 2 Sight LRF (hereinafter “Calonox”) is factory-set so that the point of impact can be subject to deviations of up to 5 cm at 100 m. Furthermore, deviations in the point of impact may occur as a result of the entire system used (e.g. weapon, mount, adapter, riflescope), also depending on the quality of the riflescope and adapter used, as well as the type of mounting and the changed center of gravity, or due to the addition of additional weight to the riflescope optics.
The Calonox supports safe and responsible hunting. You must always evaluate your surroundings, the area around the target and in between, as well as the current general situation and its variability; therefore you retain responsibility for your shot. You also have the responsibility to check and ensure that the entire system works perfectly together with the Calonox.
LEICA recommends that you familiarize yourself with the device before using the Calonox on the shooting range or in the field. Also check that the overall function of the equipment and the location of the point of impact are correct. LEICA also recommends that you regularly compare all settings with real shots in a safe environment (e.g. a shooting range) before using it for hunting and adjust the settings based on your own independent assessment of "if" and "how". Calonox users assume full responsibility for the use of all functions.
LEICA's liability for damages arising from the use of the Calonox is excluded, subject to the exceptions set out below. This exclusion does not apply to damages that arise from an intentional breach of duty or gross negligence on the part of LEICA or a legal representative or vicarious agent of LEICA. In the event of a simple or minor breach of duty on the part of LEICA or a legal representative or vicarious agent of LEICA, LEICA is liable only (a) - but without limitation - for damages resulting from injury to life, body or health; as well as (b) for damages resulting from the breach of essential contractual obligations (essential contractual obligations are those obligations whose fulfillment enables the proper execution of the contract in the first place and on the observance of which the customer regularly relies and may rely); In these cases, LEICA's liability is limited to the amount of damages that are typical for the contract and foreseeable at the time of conclusion of the contract. The limitations of liability set out in the preceding case do not apply if LEICA has fraudulently concealed a defect or has provided a guarantee for the quality of the goods with a guarantee for damages. Furthermore, any mandatory legal liability, in particular under product liability legislation, always remains unaffected.
